WMCFW Stephan Caras SS2014 Collection

Fashion week is such a fun and exciting time. I see so many tweets, Facebook updates, and Instagram pics that I almost feel like I'm right in the middle of the action. Of course, nothing beats being physically present at an actual show, with your eyes on the runway, seeing models stomp to the beat of loud music, taking in all the incredible designs for the upcoming season. Stephan Caras is a seasoned designer who is based in Toronto. His aesthetic is feminine sensuality and his spring-summer 2014 collection was a perfect marriage of feminine silhouettes with intricate pearl accents.

The styling was perfect. I loved the hair - voluminous, messy braids that I am going to try to replicate as soon as my hair is long enough. :)

This was quite a large collection with a lot of interesting pieces... here are some of my favourites:

Towards the end of the show, there was a roar in the crowd... I believe this is Stephan Caras' daughter. She looked incredible and totally worked the runway... she showed off the dress beautifully!

My friend and I had such an amazing time at the show and also at the after party! I can't believe another fashion week is in the books. Here is what we wore to the event. My friend has such a funky and effortless style. I wanted to borrow her camel coat... and never give it back.

As for me, I'm wearing straight hair, MAC Rebel, Jeffrey Campbell Litas (sky high but oh so comfortable... the leather/wood/glue smells horrible though), Zara dress (which shrank in the wash so now it's more like a top), All Saints leather jacket, and Balenciaga City bag.
