Modified Vlogmas

I'm always tempted to participate in Vlogmas but working at my full-time job for the majority of December does not leave me a lot of time to do fun or interesting (i.e., vlog-worthy) things. In the past few years, I've been doing a modified version of Vlogmas. Instead of vlogging every day in December until Christmas, I vlog every day between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. Here is how I spent my time during the last week in 2015.

Vlog Catch-Up

My hubby and I recently visited Milan for a week and I fell off the wagon in terms of keeping up with this blog. Here is a little vlog catch-up post with what I've been up to for the past little while.




We were in Milan so we could go to the Expo and returned with over 330 vlog clips! Sorry for the 20 minute video montage but I wanted to include clips of all of the pavilions we visited. The Expo was a lot of fun - lots of crowds and lines but also a lot to see and do. The theme was Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. It was quite overwhelming and we're still trying to digest all of the pavilions and exhibits. Hope you are all doing great and thanks for watching. :) x

It was a beautiful weekend in Toronto! Hubs and I went for a little snack, shopping, and Pan Am exploring.



We went to Uncle Tetsu's Matcha Cafe to try the green tea soft serve and let's just say we will definitely be back for more! We also bought some matcha madeleines to take home - two plain and 2 with red bean. Both were good but a little on the dry side so I recommend heating them up before you munch away. I wish the green tea flavour was more pronounced but otherwise a yummy treat.

August has come and gone and I just realized I hadn't posted the last instalment of Vlogust so here it is. Vlogust was so much fun but it was also exhausting! Going forward, I am vlogging around once a week and I hope you'll tune in. Happy September!

Welcome to Vlogust - Days 1 to 10

I've been a busy little bee this month! I mentioned in my last post that I would be embarking on Vlogust - basically a vlog a day in the month of August. I've posted 10 vlogs so far and it's been very time consuming but also a lot of fun. I'm going to take a little break on day 11 and upload my July empties video instead but I plan to be back with daily vlogs as of day 12. In the meantime, here are the first 10 days of Vlogust. :)

July 2014 Vlog - Afternoon Tea, Mirrored Pants, and Lady Gaga!

Here is my July vlog! I went a little crazy (ok, a lot crazy) with the Gaga footage but I loved the concert and wanted to remember the fun moments. Please feel free to skip ahead... the concert footage starts at 4:08 and ends at 10:07.



Since I've already blogged about afternoon tea, I thought I would include some concert photos in this post. The eye candy and incredible lighting at concerts make for some pretty amazing photos!



This is how we would look with fuchsia skin. I kinda like it! Lady Gaga had two opening acts - Crayon Pop (Korean girl group) and Lady Starlight (NYC DJ). Both were entertaining and very danceable.



Two hours later, it was finally time for Gaga. The concert was so. much. fun. I would definitely see her perform again. She is so funny and personable - we had an amazing time. Next time, we're getting floor tickets so we can dance all night.










Also, exciting news!! I will be starting Vlogust today! That's right, a vlog a day for the month of August. However, I'm going to be taking a page from Lindsay Does Nails - her Vlogust is going to be a mix of vlogs, hauls, and other videos so basically a video a day but not all vlogs. I think that will work better for me since many days involve me just going to work, coming straight home, and napping, and I can see a vlog about those activities getting old pretty fast. Plus, not everyone likes vlogs and I want to keep up with my regular videos as well. Anyway, I've already edited today's vlog and I plan to upload to YouTube on a daily basis but I'll likely post the vlogs on this blog once a week.

June 2014 Vlog - Part 2 - Patio Season and My Sister's Convocation!

Happy weekend, everyone! I am in NYC at the moment and just wanted to close off June with the rest of my vlog footage. In this video, I celebrate my sister's convocation and dine at a bunch of different restaurants as per usual... patio season is in full force and I love it.
